Isle of Lewis Docks at Garvel Clyde

At just over 101 meters long and 18.5 meters wide and a shade over 6750 tonnes, the Isle of Lewis recently left the Dry Dock at Garvel Clyde after the completion of some routine maintenance.

Originally taking up service on the 'marine motorway' between Ullapool to Stornoway in 1995, MV Isle of Lewis, Eilean Leòdhais in Gaelic, was, at the time, the fastest vessel ever in the CalMac fleet.
