The Fighting Temeraire

"The Fighting Temeraire"

The Ship that broke the line at the battle of Trafalgar. She was famously painted by J.M.W. Turner on her way to be broken up at Beatson’s Yard, in Rotherhithe just two miles from Lloyd’s Register’s Fenchurch Street offices in London.

Records show that the ship was sold for £5,500 and the copper alone was sold back to the Admiralty for £3,000.

Dales Marine in Leith on the outskirts of Edinburgh is now an established Ship Recycling Facility. It is one of only a handful of locations in the UK to offer this type of service and is a welcome addition to the already extensive list of services already on offer by Dales Marine.

A full list of spares available are listed on our website from engines & engine parts through to control systems & hydraulics. www.dalesmarine.co.uk
