Dales Marine Services are a well-established and successful local and national Ship Repair, Fabrication and Engineering service provider for the on and off shore oil industry.

Due to growth and expansion of facilities we are looking to find an experienced Commercial Sales & Business Development person to support our business development and continued growth.

We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to assist with developing new contacts and securing new work and long term contracts for our Aberdeen, Leith and Greenock based businesses.

The successful candidate would ideally be located on the east coast within commuting distance of our Aberdeen or Leith facilities, applications are also welcome for any candidates located in the proximity of out Greenock office.

The position, while office based, will require regular travel between all other company sites along with supporting projects in any UK port.

The right candidate must have a proven track record in commercial and business development and be prepared to travel nationwide to meet clients and attend conference events to secure new contacts and promote the company.

Role:

Commercial Sales & Business Development

• Reporting directly to our Contracts Director.
• Applicants would ideally have industry knowledge with experience in oil & gas, renewables, large fabrication projects or a general marine background.

Experience:

The successfully candidate should ideally meet the following scope: -

• Have a full clean UK driving license.
• Must be computer literate.
• Have the right to work in the UK if not already a UK resident.
• Have good written and spoken English.
• Office based with requirements to travel to clients/events etc.
• Support to expand our client base and promote the company services to new clients.
• Support growth of our quayside based fabrication services across all marine markets, expand our mobilisation and demobilisation support to offshore projects and promote our 24/7 ship repair and maintenance services.
• Identify clients who can benefit from our experience and services and create opportunities for supporting them with future projects.
• Salary range from £49,300 - £52,800, based on experience.
• Open to location: Aberdeen, Leith or Greenock – will consider applicants location and experience.
