Dales Marine Services announce sponsorship of The Tall Ship Races Aberdeen 2025

Dales Marine Services is delighted to announce we are an affiliate sponsor for the Tall Ships Event in Aberdeen this July.

The Tall Ships Races are making a spectacular return to Aberdeen for the first time in nearly 30 years, taking place from July 19–22, 2025. This world-renowned sailing event is expected to welcome 50 majestic Tall Ships from across the globe and attract 400,000 visitors to the city, making it Europe’s largest free family event. The event promises an unforgettable experience filled with maritime heritage, breathtaking ships, and community celebrations.

The sailing extravaganza offers the adventure of a lifetime for young local people to be recruited as sail trainees. They will get the chance to sail aboard a Tall Ship from Dunkirk, France to Aberdeen, or from Aberdeen to Kristiansand, Norway.

CEO Kevin Paterson said, "At Dales Marine, we are thrilled to sponsor the 2025 Tall Ships Races, celebrating maritime heritage, craftsmanship, and the spirit of adventure. With decades of experience in vessel maintenance, restoration, and ship repair, we understand the dedication required to preserve these magnificent ships for future generations. Supporting the Tall Ships Races aligns perfectly with our passion for maritime excellence, and we look forward to seeing these incredible ships arrive in Aberdeen, for some the first time."

Dales Marine Services is honoured to support this iconic event, reinforcing our commitment to Aberdeen’s future by fostering growth, inspiring young talent, and celebrating the region’s proud maritime legacy. This partnership reflects our dedication to innovation, sustainability, and the continued success of the local maritime industry. As part of our commitment, we are proud to sponsor a Sail Trainee, supporting the development of future maritime professionals and encouraging the next generation to embark on careers at sea. By investing in opportunities that empower the next generation and strengthen community connections, we aim to uphold Aberdeen’s rich maritime heritage.
