Emergency steelwork repairs carried out on Seven Petrel

The Seven Petrel is a dedicated IMR, Survey and Light construction vessel, with IMO Class 2 dynamic positioning and advanced hull design for minimal acoustic interference. Measuring at 76m x 15m, the vessel is deep drafted, and currently flies under the UK flag.

Seven Petrel entered dry dock at the beginning of October, unexpectedly, due to an issue with some of its box coolers. Dales Marine carried out a series of steelwork repairs in way of this. As the vessel was going into long-term layup, Dales Marine also assisted Subsea 7 in decommissioning the vessel.
