Hopetoun one of the worlds most powerful docking tugs arrives in Leith

The tug Hopetoun is one of the world's most powerful docking tugs with a Bollard pull of 124t.

The tug was built in 1997 and currently sailing under the flag of United Kingdom. With a 44m length overall and beam of 14m, her gross tonnage is 947 tons. She arrived at drydock in February for its Intermediate docking, we carried out the following scope of works on the vessel:

· High pressure washing entire vessel then applying Anti-fouling on the Hull, along with the finished colour on the topsides.

· Overhauling of Ships side valves.

· Inspections of F/W, Ballast and Fuel Oil Tanks

· Electrical check of the vessel systems.
