LOCH FYNE 12 day overhaul in Garvel

The Loch Fyne is a RoRo passenger and vehicle ferry owned by CMAL and operated by CalMac
Built by Ferguson Shipbuilders of Port Glasgow in 1991 originally for the Kyle of Lochalsh to Skye route before the building of the Skye Bridge.
Now operates between Lochaline and Fishnish
55m long 13.4m beam 549GRT, capable of carrying 200 passengers and 36 cars at 9 knots
She docked at Garvel for 12 days for annual overhaul which included
· Voith propulsion unit removal and spare unit fitted
· Steelwork repairs to vehicle ramps and new grounding stools added
· Hull hp wash, paint and new zinc anodes fitted
· Various hull and accommodation steelwork repairs
· Pipework repairs and modifications
· Passenger accommodation toilet areas upgraded
· RoRo hydraulic equipment and deck machinery overhauled
· Main engine overhauled
· Insulation repairs
