Ocean Sprite visits Aberdeen for scheduled docking
December 2015
Ocean Sprite, a standby vessel owned and operated by Atlantic Offshore, visited Aberdeen for scheduled docking over 14 days. Dales Marine carried out the removal of the forward auxiliary engine, through the side shell of the bow, and replaced it with a new supply engine provided by Atlantic Offshore.
Ocean Sprite underwent a high pressure wash and paintwork to the ballast tanks and the fresh water tanks were specialist cleaned. Machine work to the vessel included a full main engine overhaul and the overhaul of all associated engine driven pumps and engine turbo chargers. Further overhauls were also carried out to the cooling systems and all four of the ships alternators. Dales Marine carried out a five year survey to Ocean Sprite’s davits along with the vessel crane, and all work was finalised with underwater and topside paint work.
