Overhauls and repair work for SD Moorfowl

Serco diving support vessel, SD Moorfowl, was built in 1989 by McTays of Bromborough and measures at 38m x 11m. The vessel docked in Garvel for 17 days for scheduled docking. Work included the overhaul of the main Aquamaster propulsion units, the overhaul of the engines and generators, a hull ultrasonic survey, and hull steelwork repairs, wash and paintwork. The tanks were then cleaned and certified and the main alternators were overhauled. To finish, electrical repairs and tests were carried out, and the alarms and gauges were calibrated.
