SD Moorhen docked at Garvel for special survey

SD Moorhen built at McTays of Bromborough in 1989, is a dive support vessel owned and operated by Serco Marine. Measuring at 36m x 12m, the vessel docked at Garvel for 21 days for special survey. During this time, the Aquamaster propulsion unit was overhauled, which involved removing the port unit for work at Rolls Royce. An overhaul was also carried out to SD Moohren’s main engine and generator. A hull UT survey, steelwork repairs, HP wash and paint were carried out and its tank was cleaned, coated and certified to finish.
