Skandi Arctic decommissioned at Leith

January 2016

Built in 2008, the Skandi Arctic was constructed at STX Europe's Soviknes yard in Norway. The vessel is now in service with Technip UK but is still managed by DOF Management. Designed to cope with the rough waters of the North Sea, Skandi Arctic is suitable for all sea and weather conditions and is capable of working all year round.

Skandi Arctic’s sea-keeping abilities and station-keeping performance make it one of the most sophisticated diving support vessels in the world. Dales Marine decommissioned the Skandi Arctic’s DOF VSAT system, and installed new Sat Dome pedestals using an 80t mobile crane to position these.
