High Praise to Dales Marine for Standard of Workmanship

November 2016

Dales Marine recently undertook the application of a paint system, 'Intersleek', on board the Fishery Protection vessel ‘Jura’, which was in dry dock in October.

The paint manufacturer's QC team supervised the project and was so impressed by the quality of Dales personnel and their workmanship, the representative from the Company took the time to write to Head Office.

He reported, "...Just wanted to give you feedback on what was a job very well done by your Leith team..."

The feedback went on to say how impressed they were with every aspect of the work undertaken by the Dales team at Leith and how efficiently the work was undertaken despite the challenges of having to work around the blasting and challenging weather conditions.

Furthermore, this technique is achieved primarily by the high level of attention to detail that is required for a very defined and condition dependent application process.

It was quoted, "...it was the best Intersleek application they have seen by a UK M&R yard in at least 10 years... ’.

This project was, as all projects are, a team effort. However, Phil McFadyen and Michael Kerr were praised for the high level of man and operations management and Matty Bromm was identified as "...one of the best paint sprayers they have seen and his work was of exceptional quality..."

To receive such praise is not only heart-warming and credit to the team involved, but also testimony to the dedication, focus and standard of excellence that Dales are renowned for; a good job, well done.
